You must apply for a certificate of separate ownership if a separate property is to be created or a permanent residential right is to be asserted.

If you are moving house or carrying out or expecting deliveries and collections, you can apply for a temporary no-stopping zone.

If your project crosses a body of water or takes place in or on a body of water, you require a permit for this, which you will receive if the approval requirements are met.

With the partial building permit, you can start construction work on building sections before the building permit for the change of use is granted. To do this, you submit an application for partial building permission to the responsible lower building supervisory authority.

You can also use public roads and paths for purposes other than traffic and public use. To do so, you generally require a special use permit.

If you wish to build, modify or dismantle a federal railroad operating facility, you must apply to the Federal Railway Authority (EBA).

It is possible to carry out the simplified building permit procedure for special structures. In this case, fewer requirements are checked by the responsible lower building supervisory authority.

If you intend to remove an installation, you must notify the lower building supervisory authority at least one month in advance. Exempt from the notification requirement are building projects that do not require a procedure in accordance with Section 61 of the State Building Code.

At least one week before the start of construction, the start of construction must be notified to the responsible building authority and those responsible must be named in accordance with § 53 LBO.
