Professional licences and permissions

If you wish to amend, expand, or extend your license to engage in the distribution of controlled substances, you must submit an application for amendment.

If you wish to obtain a certificate of compliance with the principles of good laboratory practice, you must submit an application to the Ministry of the Environment, Climate, Mobility, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (MUKMAV).

If you wish to obtain authorization to provide practical training for pilots under the BFCL, SFCL, and FCL regulations, you must submit an application to the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Mobility, Agriculture, and Consumer Protection (MUKMAV).

If you are flying to a country outside the European Union (EU), you will need an officially certified pilot license (verification letter). You can apply for this at the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA) for a fee.

If you wish to engage in the trade in controlled substances, you must apply for a permit to do so.

If you want to work as a pharmacist in Germany without restrictions, you need a state license, the Approbation.

If you want to work as a psychotherapist in Germany without restrictions, you need a state license, the Approbation.

Do you want to work as a patent attorney? If so, you must apply to the Patent Attorneys Association for admission to the patent bar.

If you have a BFCL, SFCL or LAPL pilot license, you can extend it to include the right to fly SFZ, TMG, SEP. Other helicopter types, model series, balloon class or group is also possible.

If you need to obtain or renew an examination authorization for pilot licenses for airplanes and helicopters under visual flight rules, ultralight aircraft, gliders, and free-flying balloons, you must apply for it with the Ministry of the Environment. 

If you hold a pilot's license that was not issued by a member state of the EU, the European Economic Area or Switzerland and wish to convert it into a license in accordance with EU law, you must apply for this.

If you have a PPL(A & H), LAPL(A & H), SPL or BPL pilot license, you can extend it with additional rights and authorizations.

If your training company wishes to train an applicant for a pilot's license, you must register the trainee with the competent aviation authority.

If you have a PPL(A) or PPL(H) pilot license, you can add class or type ratings to it or renew it.

If you wish to be recognized as a producer organization (for the fruit and vegetable sector), you must submit an application to the Ministry of the Environment, Climate, Mobility, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (MUKMAV).

If you have already taken exams at a university that cover material included in the certified public accountant (CPA) exam, you may, in some cases, have those exams credited toward your CPA exam.

If you wish to use or amend a minimum equipment list for the first time for flight operations that fall under the jurisdiction of the State Aviation Authority, you must submit it to the State Aviation Authority.

In Germany, veterinarians are permitted to use and dispense veterinary drugs under certain conditions. Before doing so, they are required to notify the Ministry of the Environment of the operation of a veterinary pharmacy (TAEHA). 

If an applicant changes training organization during the course of flight training, you must communicate this change immediately to the responsible aviation authority.

After your student has successfully completed the theoretical examination, you as the training company must register the practical examination with the responsible aviation authority.

The killing of vertebrates and related activities may only be carried out by persons who have the necessary knowledge and skills (expertise).

If you wish to operate balloons for commercial purposes, you must submit a declaration of commercial balloon operations to the Ministry of the Environment, unless an exemption applies under Article 3(2) of EU Regulation (EU) 2018/395.

If you wish to operate gliders for commercial purposes, you must submit a declaration of commercial glider operations to the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Mobility, Agriculture, and Consumer Protection (MUKMAV).
