Hunting and fishing

If you would like to take part in a training course to obtain specialist knowledge for the handling and purchase of explosive substances in accordance with the Explosives Act, you will need a clearance certificate.

If you as an individual wish to acquire and possess weapons and/or ammunition, you must apply for a permit from the relevant weapons authority.

As a private individual, you would like to handle explosive substances such as black powder, nitrocellulose powder or fireworks.If so, you must comply with the Explosives Act (SprengG) and require an official permit from the competent authority!

If you wish to acquire and possess weapons and/or ammunition as a sport shooter, you must apply for a permit from the relevant weapons authority.

If you would like to take the falconry examination, you must apply for admission to the falconry examination.

If you would like to take the hunter examination, you must apply for admission to the hunter examination.

If your child is under the age of 12 and has a talent for shooting, you must apply to the relevant authority for a special permit if they wish to shoot at shooting ranges.

If you want to acquire and possess weapons and/or ammunition as a hunting association, you must apply for a permit from the relevant weapons authority.

If you want to acquire and possess weapons and/or ammunition as a shooting sports club, you must apply for a permit from the responsible weapons authority.

If you already have a firearms possession card (WBK) as a shooting club and wish to purchase another firearm requiring a permit, you must apply for this.

If you, as a hunting association, have a gun ownership card (WBK) and wish to purchase a firearm requiring a permit, you must apply for this.

If you wish to apply for recognition for a trailing team, you must submit an application.

If you wish to collect weapons and/or ammunition, you must apply for a permit from the relevant weapons authority.

If you want to hunt with birds of prey, you need a valid falconry license from the relevant hunting authority.

If you are a foreign applicant and wish to obtain a falconry license, you must meet the requirements of your country of origin and the German legal requirements in order to apply for the issue, new issue or re-issue of a foreigner's falconry license.

If you want to hunt, you need a valid hunting license from the competent hunting authority.

If you wish to obtain a hunting license as a foreign applicant, you must meet the requirements of your country of origin and the German legal requirements.

If you are a foreign applicant between the ages of 16 and 18 and would like to experience falconry accompanied by an experienced falconer, you will need a valid foreign youth falconry license.

If you are between 16 and 18 years old and would like to experience falconry accompanied by an experienced falconer, you will need a valid youth falconry license.

If you are between 16 and 18 years old and would like to hunt, you need a valid youth hunting license.

If you are a foreign applicant between the ages of 16 and 18 and wish to hunt, you will need a valid Aliens' Youth Hunting License.

If you acquire a firearm requiring a permit or give it to someone else, you must notify the competent authority within two weeks.

If you have had your weapons rendered inoperable or destroyed, you must report this within two weeks.

If you wish to acquire and possess weapons and/or ammunition in order to test, inspect or examine them, you must apply for a permit from the relevant weapons authority.

If you are an arms dealer or arms manufacturer with a general transfer permit and are transporting firearms or ammunition from Germany to the EU area, the Schengen states and Northern Ireland, you must report the transfer to the Federal Office of Administration.

If you would like to know whether information on serious violations is stored about you in the National Violation File of the Sea Fisheries Act and you need this information for submission to an authority, you can submit an application for information from the authorities to the BLE.

If you would like to know whether information on infringements is stored about you in the national infringement file of the Sea Fisheries Act, you can submit an application for self-disclosure to the BLE.

If you, as a citizen, transfer weapons and/or ammunition requiring a permit, you must notify the competent authority within two weeks.

If you are a hunter and hunt wild boar or badgers and these are to be used as food or sold to others, you must have a Trichinella test carried out by the competent authority.

If you are a hunter and wish to take samples for official Trichinella testing of wild boar and badgers yourself, you must apply for a permit to take Trichinella samples. You must meet certain requirements for this.

If you have lost a weapon, ammunition or a permit under weapons law, such as a weapons possession card or a weapons license, you must report this immediately to the responsible weapons authority.
