Some towns and municipalities (= local authorities) pay parents a subsidy towards the cost of disposing of diapers. Parents can apply for this subsidy. As a rule, it is a one-off payment, the amount of which is based on the age of the child or the care level of the relative concerned. The subsidy can only be applied for in the town or municipality in which you live.

The exact requirements for receiving a diaper subsidy or diaper bonus as well as the required documents and the responsible authority vary from municipality to municipality. This benefit is not offered everywhere.
